Samsung Galaxy A54 starts receiving May 2026 security patches before its flagship siblings

This is a rather interesting development for sure, but for whatever reason, Samsung has already shipped an update containing Android’s May security patches to the Galaxy A55 and is now doing the same for the Galaxy A54. Meanwhile, this author’s personal Galaxy S26 Ultra is still running patches from April 5 as of writing this article. We snooped around in the changelog for the update just out of curiosity.
