Following the arrest of the 2019 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress(AAC), Omoyele Sowore by the DSS, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to call for the release of the human rights activist with the hashtag #FreeSoworeNow, adding “Revolutionary” to their usernames to protest the arrest.
By the way, this is not the first time a desperate tyrant attempts to muzzle dissent. In 1993, as IBB floundered he promulgated the Treason and Treasonable Offences Decree No 29 of 1993 to muzzle free speech and public criticisms
