You Can’t Proceed With Bauchi Governorship Result Collation, Court Tells INEC

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission not to proceed with its planned collation and announcement of the results of the governorship election in Bauchi State held on March 9.

Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court Abuja issued the ordered following an ex-parte application filed by the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Bauchi State Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar.

According to the judge, the restraining order is to last till the determination of the suit brought before the court by the plaintiffs.
