Jussie Smollett
Jussie Smollett popularly know for playing Jamal Lyon in hit tv show “Empire” was brutally attacked by two men in the early hours of Tuesday.
TMZ reports that the men, both white and wearing ski masks, beat him up, put his head in a noose and screamed, “This is MAGA country.”
Sources told TMZ that Jussie was on his way to get food when someone yelled, “Aren’t you that f***ot ‘Empire’ n*****?”
The men reportedly beat Jussie up, fractured his rib and put a rope around his neck, poured bleach on him and yelled “This is MAGA country” as they left.
He took himself to the hospital and discharged later that morning.
ThatGrapeJuice.Net posted the letter below which was sent to Fox Studios in Chicago with cut out letters spelling, “You will die black f**.”
TMZ reports that the letter was sent 8 days ago.
The incident is being investigated as battery and are treating the case as a possible hate crime.
