His Love Foundation: RCCG’s Initiative to Impact & Change Lives Globally

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide announces her global charity arm, His Love Foundation, with an initial focus on 6 key areas: Education, Health, Prisons, Hunger, Social Enterprise and Rehabilitation.

His Love Foundation is a culmination of RCCG’s Christian Social Responsibility (CSR), which has been in operation for a long while. With active participation from 42,796 operating centres/parishes in Nigeria alone and in 197 countries worldwide, RCCG has successfully implemented in Nigeria from March 2018 to date over 30,626 projects nationwide, with hundreds of thousands of projects being done in the nations of the world where the church is operating.

As a charity organisation, His Love Foundation will achieve scalability and reach more people around the world through institutional partnerships. The foundation is firmly focused on its mission which states, “Help for the helpless. Hope for the hopeless. Food for the hungry. Strength for the weak.”

In the words of the Special Assistant to the General Overseer on CSR, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, “To love God and to love our neighbours as ourselves, therein lies the whole duty of man. We need to have a compelling sense of responsibility to our community, which should be rooted in love. CSR is, therefore, a faith-based obligation to meet societal needs through the demonstration of love that positively impacts communities and individuals.”

• 99,684 prison inmates impacted through the rehabilitation of Kirikiri health centre, chapel and Open University library
• Refurbishing and equipping of the Kirikiri Prison Medical Centre
• Renovation of Christ the Light Chapel Building at Kirikiri
• Provision of over 5,000 packs of food for prison inmates in Lagos every Sunday
• Legal Aid services are being provided pro-bono and many have been set free
• Donation of ambulances to Kirikiri Maximum Prison and Agodi Prison, Ibadan

Education

• 70,536 student scholarships

• Healing Stripes Cancer Screening and Diagnostic Centre, Surulere Lagos. The Centre together with the Mobile Screening Centre has screened over 100,370 people
• 57 beneficiaries from Enoch and Folu Adeboye Intensive Care Unit, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja within a few months of commissioning
• 9 successful kidney transplants in partnership with medical institutions abroad
• 8,669 subsidized dialysis sessions (with a good number done for free)
• Renovation of the Maternity Centre, Otolu
• Establishment of the Redeemed Medical Volunteers
• Construction of Favour Maternity and Daycare Centre, Delta State
• Donation of hospital equipment to Gbagada General Hospital
• Redeemer’s Maternity Centre, Ito-Omu provided free medical services to the indigent pregnant women in the community

Rehabilitation

• Habitation of Hope: 6,976 beneficiaries
• Christ Against Drugs Abuse Ministry (CADAM): 2,805 beneficiaries
• Wholistic Outreach. (Rehabilitation of prostitutes and abandoned girls): 1,003 beneficiaries
• Wellspring Rehabilitation: 1,010 beneficiaries
• House of Joy: 500 beneficiaries
• Virtuous Women: 41 beneficiaries
• The Aruke Rehabilitation Centre, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State
• The Beth-Tzadekah Home for young children rescued from the street life of easy virtues

Social Enterprise

• 2,802 beneficiaries of It’s New To Me Charity Shop
• RCCG Vocational Institution (RVI), Lekki: 24 students have graduated till date with 16 distinctions from National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB)
• Business Networks in conjunction with Lagos State Employability Trust Fund (LSETF): Total registered till date is 290
