Kate, 36, wowed in a checked midi dress by one of her favourite designers, Erdem, as she visited the V&A museum in west London.
The off-shoulder neckline strongly resembled that of the blush pink dress by Carolina Herrera worn by Meghan, which raised eyebrows at the Trooping the Colour earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Kate's choice of Erdem dress also acted as a sweet nod to the Queen, as the Spring/Summer 2018 collection it featured in was inspired by the monarch.
Celebrity stylist Rochelle White told FEMAIL: 'Kate’s latest look is something different from her usual style. The neckline on her recent outfit is very similar to Meghan’s style.
'Kate's usual look is high or square necked items that are more classic in style and cut. Meghan has mixed up her style a little bit and I think Kate is taking some inspiration from that.'
She added: 'It is nice to see Kate in something different from her classic look.'
