Melania Trump visits Child Detention Facility at US Border wearing a Jacket with the Words ‘I Really Don’t Care, Do U?’

Today, the First Lady of America, Melania Trump made an unannounced trip to visit the crisis affecting families at the United States and Mexico border.

The visit comes one day after Donald Trump signed an executive order to not separate migrant families at the border going forward.

One thing that stood out during her visit was her jacket, which had the words “I Really Don’t Care, Do You?” inscribed on it. The jacket is a Zara military style piece.

She has received backlash on social media for this, with several people calling her insensitive, and the White House has also responded to the fashion choice, stating, “I’d hope you guys would want to cover her visit with children today. It’s a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn’t going to choose to focus on her wardrobe.”
