Father Allegedly Kills Son Over Ownership Of Cashew Nut

A 60-year-old, Hyacinth Ilo, has allegedly killed his son, Izuchukwu, over ownership of cashew nut in Obinetiti Isikwe Achi, Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Police spokesman Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident, said: “The father and son argued over who owned the cashew nut and Hyacinth allegedly hit Izuchukwu with a club on the head.

“Izuchukwu slumped and died on the spot. On noticing that his son was dead, Hyacinth buried him in a shallow grave. A full scale investigation has begun into the incident,” police said.
