And yet the Duke of Cambridge doesn't wear a wedding ring, as is customary for married couples. Why? Are they getting divorced?
The royals' choice was actually reported back in 2012, when the pair wed. At the time, a palace aide explained: "He’s not one for jewellery.
He’s never worn any. He decided he didn’t want to wear one now. It’s all down to personal preference."
But given all the excitement blustering around when Kate and Wills married, the fact sort of slipped under the net, and many have since observed Prince William's ringless finger with a little concern.
But, as far as we know, all is well. After five years of marriage, the couple have two children, and are still very much in love, it appears. And for the record, Kate wears one. It's crafted in the finest gold, as you'd expect.
Maybe it's a royal male thing? The Queen's husband, Prince Philip, doesn't wear a wedding ring either. If you scan photos of the elderly royal, you'll also see his hand is free of the symbol.
