Google readies Android's October security update, factory images and OTA files for Nexus devices are out

We've entered another month, and you know what that means, right? Another security update for Android, of course. Google has readied the October security patches for its mobile operating system, and it's already posted the factory images and OTA zip files for Nexus devices and the Pixel C tablet. The over-the-air rollout of this update should commence shortly, so if you sit tight it will hit your handset or tablet within the next couple of weeks or so.
