Today Meta has announced that ad-free subscriptions for both Facebook and Instagram are going to become available in the UK "over the coming weeks". These will give you the option to pay a fee to stop seeing ads on either service. The subscription cost will be £2.99 per month on the web and £3.99 per month if you subscribe on iOS or Android.
