Xiaomi Redmi 6 with Helio P22 and Redmi 6A with Helio A22 announced

After bringing us its flagship Mi 8 trio, Xiaomi is now refreshing the other end of its portfolio by bringing the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A entry level devices. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 is built around a 5.45-inch HD+ (720 x 1440) IPS display with contemporary 18:9 aspect ratio. Driving those pixels will be the 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 chip with 2GHz octa-core CPU and 3,000 mAh battery. The capacity is actually a tad lower than the is, by the way, a tad lower than the 3,300mAh pack in the Redmi 5, but given the vastly more efficient chipset and smaller screen it should last quite a lot...
